Bio
Kevin Heller is a former copyright, trademark and media litigation attorney from NYC. His undergraduate work was at Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ where he received a degree in Lit & Film Studies. His grad work was completed at Cardozo Law where he earned a Juris Doctor with a concentration in Intellectual Property Law in 2001.
He started blogging in 2001 and launched Tech Law Advisor in August 2002. Tech Law Advisor was a Blogger Blog of Note in January 2003. Kevin is a tech law addict and discussed the historical underpinnings of copyright law in order to better educate corporations and consumers at the intersection of IP, free speech and the internet. As a side project during this time, Kevin worked with two young programmers at Wandering Rocks Solutions in NYC as both an internet marketing consultant and Business Development Manager.
In the Spring of 2005 Kevin took a hiatus from the law and blogging to spend more time with his two young children, then 3 and 1. Recently, Kevin has relocated to the New York area and is currently providing legal and technology consulting services as an independent consultant. Kevin has provided Enterprise Records Retention Management Assessments,Email File Plans, Records Retention policies and training.
